Our Mission is to Help
Community Outreach
The Delores O. Gregory Missions Department at New Jerusalem is the arm of our outreach ministry. It includes both home and foreign missions efforts.  New Jerusalem has supported foreign mission work in over 6 foreign countries over the past 15 years.  We have participated in home missions through Habitat for Humanities here locally.  NJBC  jointly built a home for a family in East Nashville in conjunction with Antioch Churches Together.

We have sent Bibles to Kenya and Nigeria, and medical supplies to Durban, South Africa as well.  We are committed to addressing the needs of those who stand in need of an advocate and a friend.  We have future plans to develope an intervention program for ex-offenders  that will provide job placement assistance, housing assistance, and medical referrals for those
in need of medical assistance.
The New Jerusalem community outreach team is a group of dedicated believers who sponsor food give aways, clothes drives, and back to school supplies for the community youth.  There are teams who also street witness and evangelize our local area.

Spreading the Word of God is a major function of our community outreach mission at New Jerusalem.  We also endeavor to identify the people in our community who can benefit from our home missions efforts.  We visit the nursing homes and the jails a as a part of our outreach efforts.  We are striving to make a long term and positive impact in the lives of all the people we meet .  At NJBC we are detrmined to make a difference one person at a time and one heart at a time.  Our goal is to partner with you.

OUR HOME & FOREIGN MISSIONS PURPOSE

The purpose and goals of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church home and foreign mission can generally  be summarized by Matthew 25:35, “For I was a hungered and ye gave me meat, I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” The NJBC Home Missions ministry will carry out this part of Christian work in the our community and Foreign Mission ministry will carry out this outside the United States of America. Jesus Christ will be our example in seeing to and supplying people’s needs (Clothing, Feeding, Sheltering, Healing, etc.).  Our mission is to go outside of our walls and find the hurting, the wounded, and the disinfranchised members of our community and offer a hand up and not a hand out.

The Process of Man's Salvation

All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation.
Through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. (Romans 3:10, 23)
Salvation has been provided for us through Jesus Christ – There is no other name given
among men whereby you must be saved. (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9, 10) Jesus Christ gave
His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (Romans 5:15-19)
